
The Agile Accountability dissertation (or thesis) writing journey begins, first sorting out and arranging the dissertation writing topics, chapter by chapter and section by section on an Agile Accountability Master Activity Chart (not actual size!).
This may appear to be a tedious activity. However, having a visual roadmap of the dissertation process can help stay on track throughout the writing journey.
generating an assignment progress backlog. The backlog is a master list which contains all the tasks needed to create a completed feature of the dissertation manuscript.
This sprint process is iterative (tasks performed in timeboxed steps) until the assignment’s completion date arrives, or until all tasks have been completed. After finishing all the task chunks (section, chapter, etc.) are delivered, the assignment (product)will be reviewed by an evaluator. Accordingly, the contributor can move forward or refine the product in another sprint, if needed.
The overall dissertation writing objectives will be achieved with the help of an evaluator/advisor (Chair, Coach, Mentor) who will assist solo contributors achieve their mission to complete state -of-the-art deliverable: The dissertation or thesis.6
The Agile Accountability Product Backlog does not need to follow the outline of the dissertation or thesis verbatim. It can include activities that are meaningful or outstanding to the contributor (see sample below). Fill out a new Agile Accountability Product Backlog for each chapter of your dissertation.
